Poem - Between Ordering and Eating

---

The ~~word~~ I meant to say is still on the table between the salt and the window where the light comes in at an angle that makes the dust visible

I was doing something else when the poem arrived ~~washing~~ ~~sweeping~~ ~~thinking~~ no - just standing in the kitchen at three a.m. which is the same kitchen it's always been except the fridge is humming in C and the tap is dripping in G and the floor knows my weight in a way I've never asked it to

The ~~word~~ I meant to say to you is the one that doesn't need a stanza or a monument or a ~~mou~~ ~~mou~~ ~~mou~~

The poem is between two persons not between the page and eternity and right now between us there is a kitchen a humming fridge a dripping tap and the dust that was always here ~~invisible~~ seen
